Ballcocks?
Does anyone know if it's easy to fit a new ballcock in a toilet tank or am I better trying to find a plumber to do it?

I have done a lot of DIY in my time but I have never done that. Here is a website which might help

Thanks for that Margaret, it looks a helpful site. I'll have a closer look when I get home from work - might even pluck up the courage to try & fix it meself :)

Re: Ballcocks?
Its avery easy job, turn off the stop tap hold the ballvalve and undo the
water supply pipe then undo the lock nut on the valve and remove. when you fit the new one you will need to replace the fibre washer on the supply pipe .if you do it your self it wont cost much more than £6-7 regards alan:Banane25: |

Re: Ballcocks?
Thanks for all the advice folks, problems now sorted - turns out it wasn't the ballcock, just a valve had gone.
