Ballcocks?

Does anyone know if it's easy to fit a new ballcock in a toilet tank or am I better trying to find a plumber to do it?

Re: Ballcocks?

Its avery easy job, turn off the stop tap hold the ballvalve and undo the
water supply pipe then undo the lock nut on the valve and remove. when you fit the new one you will need to replace the fibre washer on the supply pipe .if you do it your self it wont cost much more than £6-7

Re: Ballcocks?

Thanks for all the advice folks, problems now sorted - turns out it wasn't the ballcock, just a valve had gone.

Me too. Trouble with your ballcocks can be quite painful, so I'm told.
