On the subject of the shoes, rubbing the soles with sandpaper to stop them being slippery is not considered as damaging them.

Have you got any of those circular sandpaper things you put on a drill attachment? You could cut some pieces off those and stick them on your soles.

But as it is only for the day...Aren't the church aisles usually carpeted? Must profess I don't know. And she won't be wearing them again...

As Neil says...not a good idea. I don't think Misskitty's getting married in a church and even if she was it's not just the church floor she'd have to worry about marking. :(

Misskitty....I agree with those who have said that roughing up the soles with a file is your best bet. :)

Sorry for not knowing where she was getting married, lol! wasn't privy to that.

Any ways up, KSH's suggestion seems the most logical...cobblers, a couple of quid, and non slip rubber soles. that's what I do when i have slippy shoes.

rub the soles with some sandpaper to create a non slip sole......
