Aftershave

Haven't got the patience to go into a shop/chemist and smell loads and loads of aftershaves. Just wondering if anyone can recommend some, then i can just smell a few. Thanks

I wear Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue and have had several people asking what it was so they could get it for their boyfriends... and my girlfriend won't let me wear anything else. I prefer Emporio Armani City Glam but both are nice :)

The best, but think can only get from Selfridges now.

My thoughts are, don't buy aftershave/perfumes for other people, unless you know what they like .. will just finish up in a drawer. I would hate anyone to buy me a perfume of their choice.

Hate Fahreneit by the way Pipinfort.. makes me puke. :s_sick:

In the days when I was randy Old Spice worked on me a treat.
Nowadays any aftershave just makes me sneeze

Re: Aftershave

Jean Paul Gautier, in the spray not the colgone after shave, about £64, lasts all day long, and wearing it every day will still last 2 years.

West Ender 19-11-2008 20:51

Re: Aftershave

I'm going "off piste" a little bit but why do they call it aftershave? It's not the stuff that men used to slap round their chops after they'd shaved, which caused them to dance around a bit, pull a few grotesque faces with their eyes watering and swear, mildly, under their breath. We're talking perfume for men so why not say so?

Can't stand any of it, myself. I like a man to smell of soap and water and a good, plain, deodorant. ;)

My late husband was a tall man who had a beard and played Rugby Union in his younger days. He had long, hairy and very muscley legs. :)

When I first knew him (in his pre-beard days) we went to St Annes one hot day and I saw him in swimming trunks for the first time. I swear to God, if he'd had skinny legs I wouldn't have gone out with him again. As it was - he passed. :D

Good grief its a good job I wasn't on here last night, what with Margaret being a bit tipsy, I did a nice bottle of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc and I always get silly when I've been on the vino collapso:D

As for Aftershave, don't use it much these days, used to use Old Spice in my youth, I then went on to Blue Stratus, these days I use Black Suede by Avon I also use the shower gel and deodorant too

Jaysay - I don't want to appear to be nagging you, but if you use any spray toiletries you are risking making your asthma worse.
In todays Mail
Boy, 12, collapsed and died after 'using too much deodorant in an enclosed space' | Mail Online
That boy had a heart defect but the coroner noted that there is a health warning on the cans which applies to ALL users.
In your delicate state of health it isn't wise to risk it.
