Re: Parrot cage?

We're thinking of getting a new one, just haven't got round to going and picking one yet.
It is a large one, stands about 5 foot high, needs some new perspex strips to hold the food pots in though, they two end ones have cracked.

We haven't got a new one yet, been mentioned a few times but never got round to going out to look for one. Would imagine we will have a new one in 3 or 4 week if you can wait till then, might even be too big for your parakeet - see what you think.
These are approx sizes
45cm deep
80cm wide
100cm high (cage area)
Total height 150cm
4 feed pots, top opener with perch, doors front and back
Arched shape to top.
White frame but bars are stainless, its on castors but the threads are worn in one of the legs so have to be very careful when moving it
I'll see if I can find a pic of one.

Re: Parrot cage?

the actual cage space is a similar size to the one he already has, it looks lovely though, how thick are the bars on it? with him being smaller than a parrot he might have trouble getting around it with his beak being smaller

i like the one in the pic though, it would look lovely in my living room :D

Re: Parrot cage?

There about 3mm bars with a 2cm spacing, there not big thick ones like they are for Macaws etc

Re: Parrot cage?

If you do go for a large cage just make sure the bars are horizontal, lot of the big cages have vertical bars, there OK for a Macaw but even the African greys struggle climbing them, anything smaller wouldn't stand a chance
