Shingles is one thing i will never get, thank god, probably because i aint never had the chicken pox, My dad had it when he was younger and it was very painful, hope ya get well soon;)

if someone has had chemography and gets shingles, plz go to the doc ,s right away , its deadly , thought people should know , my sister had it when she died of cancer , so beware shingles and chemo is a killer ,

It can cause very serious and sometimes fatal infections, such as pneumonia, in people with cancer. The virus also causes a painful condition called shingles. You can only get shingles if you have had chicken pox in the past. This is because after you've had chicken pox the virus does not fully go away. It lies inactive in the body, but can become active again if the immune system is weak. This is why people can get shingles after chemotherapy treatment.
