Homemade beauty tips
My friend was telling me the other day that she'd been told to use honey and salt mixed together to make a facial/body scrub, I've just tried it and my face feels so soft
Currently sat here with half a jar of mayonaise on my hair because I have run out of conditioner, it aparently helps with hair growth and makes your hair silky Anyone got any other homemade beauty tips? |
Re: Homemade beauty tips

Mainly because of a rule change though, it is more difficult to get it inside. Women went straight from, 'when a girl says no she means yes', to, 'when a girl says no she means no'. Couldn't we have had a period of time to work towards this? Something along the lines of, 'when a girl says no she means maybe'. :p |

Re: Homemade beauty tips
I'm a mega fan of more natural products..
For skin-Castor oil, try to remember to moisturise with it every night. A blessing for fine lines and my skin looks far better since using that. For hair, blemishes, skin disorders such as eczema and psoriasis, spots etc I am a massive fan of coconut oil-amazing stuff is that. In fact, I've currently got a load of it on my hair, now. It repaired my hair after years of abuse (I've had micro-ring extensions and weaves for about seven years), it was all patchy, short and almost falling out. Now It's grown loads and is soft and healthy. I will reply again if I think of any more! |

Re: Homemade beauty tips
Sugarmouse, olive oil is good for your hair too, wrapped in clingfilm and left over night

Re: Homemade beauty tips
I use bicarb of soda on my face as an exfoliant as well, mixed into a paste with water-I find salt grains a bit too harsh..
Avocado is great mashed up as a face mask , especially if you have dry skin. If your skin isn't so dry, oatmeal mixed with agave nectar and blended works good as well. Honey is more commonly recommended but I don't buy honey so I use agave nectar, similar properties for skin. Tea tree oil cures almost anything I find. My partner had verrucas on his feet from the gym and it got rid of those, they've never recurred..I've used it on ingrowing hairs and bumps caused by shaving as well. (Come to think of it though, I'd rather he went back to the gym and had verrucas, than gave it up altogether like he appears to have done... ) :D |
