This is a bit surprising. Must have looked amazing but wouldn't have thought they'd risk it in a plane so old.

Perhaps a bit daft but glorious. The Vulcan probably gets a more intense service after every flight than any other aircraft and as it was perhaps the last flight ever the crew decided to stick two fingers up to the regulations - they are civilians and so they can't be court martialled or reduced in rank.
In my opinion as long as they didn't endanger anyone else - bloody magic.

The first and last demonstration flights - the first Vulcan at Farnborough also did a barrel roll. Alpha and Omega.

Detials of Blackpool Air Show - there has been some problems fitting Lancaster fuel tanks, so it may be a no-show for it today, but plenty of other stuff.

Over this weekend I was in a field full of Bikers at a rally in Escrick in Yorkshire On Friday it flew right over us and bloody low as well. No one had a chance to take pics but what a sight and sound.
