how many OXO's
with the recent OXO cube debate.. how many OXO's would you put in a stew or casserole to feed 4 people?.. or would you use Bovril cubes (which I find are cheaper ) |

What are OXO cubes and Bovril?
Is it something people, too lazy to make chicken or beef stock use?

Back on thread (unusual for me I know) I use 2 or 3. I am not too lazy to make beef stock, I just don't have the time with 3 children at home and a full time job. Next time I need beef stock I will let you make it for me Gary. How much notice will you need?

I think the whole silly row started because there were only five cubes left, and Jade's gang used four of them to their cook their pasta in, for the little gang of five. Bit selfish, but that's what happens with house/flatmates the world over.
I'd use one cube per pint, for ordinary stock.
