Does anyone here or know of a good shower fitter that can give us a quote or have idea how much its going to cost?

For anyone who can do the job there is another shower to be fitted at neighbours who wants it done too around same time

Can anyone quote us or point us in right direction please on recommendations either reply or pm me

Cheers

Re: Shower fitted

Yes me, but you'd have to get some red and black cable 6mm for up to 8kw 10mm over and it would have to be a time travel instalation back to before the regs came in. and before your home was taken over by the housing association, or it will cost you megga.
you need a shower, cable, 45amp pull cord and surface box, a spare way in the fuse board, and a trip depending on the shower wattage. 6mm earth to connect the earth in the shower to the water pipes under the bath. 15mm pipe, t piece and elbows.
You can get a cheap shower for 50 quid, Bet they charge about 150 to fit a shower now at least.
Then you need a shower curtain of course.
If your going to have that done have it done before your bathroom is done.

Re: Shower fitted

Exactly, thats why I said she'd need to get red and black off ebay or somewhere, otherwise who ever does it, needs to be registered. It's an housing association home why should she pay for someone to test it when if she gets it done now, it will be tested or even rewired in a few weeks time as part of the rewire.
