Was the Pickups Arms that pub near to Rist wires ? , turn right at top of Lonsdale st. , thinking there used to be a short-cut through some spare land from top of Newark st , am I in the right area ? :confused:

What brewery were it , ? seem to remember Black and White paintwork , but cant imagine it being Duttons or Massey.
its a bit of a ****** though when you depend on the location of pubs and alehouses to navigate your way around , guess its a sign of a well spent youth :D

Think it was Masseys but changed to Bass.

Quite right Benipete, but the only trouble was that Bass was crap, Brew 10 Brew 11 Brew 12, then of course Stones Bitter, which actually was not that bad, that is if you didn't mind an headache the day after:eek:
