Looks like the old Accy car park, had some fun on there as kids on our bikes in the evening. The pub across from it was the Astronaught (had fun in there too) Appears to be ??St Johns church in the distance. ;D

You were in the (very) early 70s, judging by the cars. My mother and I visited Accrington in 1971, to visit my Aunt in Whalley. I can't answer the question, but I'm fairly sure I have been there during one of our family visits to the area. Cheers, Simon |

I think it was taken from the apollo which was upstairs from the astronaught, although...it could be from upstairs at the old Union Street Club?

The picture was indeed taken from an upstairs room at the Astronaut in 1973.
