I remember the Stax Club, it was over the arcade and the place to go when I was a young teenager, they played Stax Atlantic music, my dad thought it was the equivalent of Soddom and Gomorrah for some reason! He banned me from going which made it so much more appealing for me as afourteen/ fifteen year old of course! |

Re: Barbary Coast
Groove thinks he would have enjoyed the Barbary coast and would have been one of the hardest men down there.

Used to get off No46 Accybus on boule, buleov, BUS STATION, then cut through Cathederal grounds, coming out of the side (Church st.) entrance. I think the club was roughly around this area, across the road and up some steps.. (was there an arcade or several shops around the same area?)... well we called in there quite often, it was a good little club.... ;);) |
