Talking of shops, anyone remember all the old record shops in town? There was Bandbox, opposite the market hall, Tony's, on Blackburn Road opposite the station, Mary's, which started on Blackburn Road near the railway arch then moved to Whalley Road, Marshall's, also on Whalley Road and Wiseman's on Broadway, opposite Woolies. I also vaguely remember a record department in the old Co-op on Abbey Street, opposite the top of Little Blackburn Road. Anyone recall any others?

What about:
Five "0" Clock Club, with Jimmy Hanley & Muriel Young (and Ollie Beak)

Stingray - Troy Tempest & Phones

Emergency Ward 10, which starred Richard Thorp (Turner in Emmerdale) as Dr Rennie.

The original Invisible Man in the late fifties.

The Wednesday play, Cathy Come Home, in the sixties, which showed just how powerful TV could be.

It seems that most people on this forum watched a diverse range of television during their years, with several Gerry Anderson shows from the sixties mentioned does anybody remember the TerrorHawks from the early eighties? Windsor Davies provided the voice over for one of the characters, a talking ball non the less ;D
I also used to watch Fraggle Rock when it first started and I know a rather rude song about it (the less said the better) ;D

Terrorhawks and Evil Zelda! Have kids aged from 31 - 13 so I've caught quite a few childrens programmes over the years!

Can remember Button Moon, Jamie and his Magic Torch, and my favourite Chorlton & the Wheelies! (Hello Little old Lady (catchphrase for those who don't know!))

And what was the programme that Humphrey Cushion was on?
