Who would have thought back then that the "Passion Express" would garner such notoriety? The only other survivor of the "Passion Express" days I personally know of still lives in Burnley -- my best friend, Dennis Slater -- he and I shared many great adventures including missing the last train back to Burnley on a couple of occasions : sleeping all night in Promenade shelters and hitch hiking back to Burnley the next morning (etc.).
