Yes John still has the shop on Peel Street - John Berry, Jewellery Repairs. He is usually in Bold Street on a Friday Night

any one else got a few tales , I have but will add them as the thread grows.

I was there !! I was 16 back then and working behind the bar. Eddie always sat at the bar like the big man, and made comments about my 16 yr old arse. He would have been in his 50s `then. Creep.I quit the job.

. My brother used to hang out there too. And I remember a young man named Dave - had really frizzy curly hair, and drove a motorcycle. Was always there around that time.

You've got me confused now /senior moment , so which was the pub on Maudsley/Addison st area, one of the streets behind Mary's Music (near to Emerson and Renwicks ) thinking it was a Magnet/John Smiths pub , also had a good juke box

That's the New Brewery you're thinking of, SJ. Another one on the "circuit" back in the day!

Nope, Joyce certainly served plenty up, but never saw Eddie pull a beer.

That was my Local in the late 70's many a good night there. Eddie never pulled a pint just sat at the end of the bar drinking wine. Joyce was a lovely woman.
