That's rather a sweeping statement - how large a sample has brought you to that conclusion? - are there many children in St Annes? (ie.having their 1st experience of childhood)

The people I work with are on average in their late teens to early twenties. There are NO children in St.Annes not a one but millions in Blackpool where I work.

I have 5 grandchildren, all in early twenties, all can play an instrument, and two perform in public regularly.

They 'do' pop music - that is popular now.
Music has moved on since the Beatles and we shouldn't expect it to be any different.

I enjoyed big band swing in my youth.
Every generation has its own music.
We shouldn't expect our children to like what we liked.
