New Years Eve, 1972, Cats Whiskers with our mob from the Broadway. Had a few but couldn't get in the mood until my mate Mick Rotherham gave me a glass and told me to chug it, quadruple vodka straight down that did the trick. 5 minutes later Sweets Blockbuster and watch out dance floor!!!

the only club I remember in Darwen in the 70s was Tiffany's

I worked the door in Tiffany's for a while with an italian guy called ceasre ,then Iwent on to work the door on te golden palms from 72 to 74 ,,I think the manager was called Allan Bell or Ball, time plays tricks with your memory doesn't it, went the cav many times, still miss the palms though.
