Re: Panic!!!
Dont worry SKY customer service is worse! we are supposed to be getting the top download speed and when mick was downloading on his ps3 it took all night to download 4% and the pages were taking like a week to turn on the laptop so he called them he got the very local (not) call centre and he asked the chap to turn up the speeds the chap said you are already getting the top speed so mick said i dont think so or theres something wrong! anyway the guy said he could see nothing wrong and went through the usual unplug this and unplug that! (like you dont do all that anyway before you call) mick didnt touch anything he just said right the fella said when we finish on the fone unplug the microfilter and plug in a new one and it should be ok.
He put the fone down and like i said mick did nothing and then all of a sudden the download zipped through and the pages went back to normal on the laptop! so he did just turn up the speed again but was making out it was the microfilter! pha! Rubbish. |

Re: Panic!!!
I never had any trouble with ntl at all ,when we moved they reinstalled everything for free and ran the cables where i wanted they where really good.
and i never needed to call them with a problem. the only time i had a problem was when they where renewing the main box in the street but that was sorted in a few days. |
Re: Panic!!!
just seen a not very happy mick in town, :D united utilities are digging the street up where he lives so his electric keeps going too (poor lamb) so told him if he's suffering withdrawl symptoms he can use his l/top on the other side of my kitchen table :)

Re: Panic!!!
My parents have NTL (Virgin) and had a problem with their phoneline, took 6 days to come out and fix it.
I on the otherhand have BT problem on Saturday am, rang up fixed on Sunday. They also redirected any calls to my mobile and stated they would pay compensation if it wasn't fixed in 3 days. Yes to me it is worth the extra. |
Re: Panic!!!
If you have to ring Virgin again Mick dial 150, it's a free number to get through. For some reason they seem to answer quicker as well.
