Hm. It has to be a combination of the USB cable and power button. Only thing I can think of.

If it was mine Id try this and it will most likely brick the tablet. Might have more use as a paperweight anyways

In desperation I was thinking of opening it up and disconnecting the battery
Not sure it would work as I never opened a pad up before a tower yes a laptop yes but not a pad
Anyway unscrewed the 4 very small screws and was just going to take it apart when what I though was a very small crack appeared in one corner so quickly put it back together
They are very flimsy once you take out the screws so that was the end of that
It looks like it's going to have to be put down to a bad experience and get a better pad
This one needs putting down
Or throwing out the window from the 13th floor :D

Cannot reset it that way. But if the person it belongs to is going to throw it away then Il have a mess around and try and reset it with these crazy software methods.. But cannot guarantee success not with these crap tablets. :D

Sorry Mick, you have tried, the rest of the site has tried, for the price of it suggest to the owner they scrap that one and buy something worthwhile, I suggest a...

...Nah, I'm not going down that road, in comparison to suggestions for how to repair, the amount of other devices that would be better is infinite.

you should see inside these things less. The watchlike battery and very flimsy ribbon cables... very cheap stuff and I dont know what Im looking at when it comes to electronics :D

I was reading that LG started making Odin based phones so I guess its dependant on hardware...guess
