Smile comp trouble

hiya just wonderin if anyone can help when i turn my computer on it says boot disk error please insert system disk and press enter. does any one know what needs to be done to fix this so i can get bk online please?

You need to insert your windows disk in drive then that will sort it out for you - had the same problem with that before.

i can get that far lol but then i dont know what im sposed to b pressin lol there is so many options. i want to get it bk on without losing everythin if that makes sence

When it asks for insert system disk - then insert your windows disk in & press return/enter then that should sort it for you & boot up normally

crikey i could remember when my computer used to do that, years ago!
i dont have disks or cds now so dont have that problem

To Lisa1234, make sure you haven't left a CD or floppy disk in the PC, if you have and its set to boot from them first you wil get this error.

Secondly. be very careful about using the windows disk as Windows has a VERY BAD habit of formatting the hard disk which will wipe EVERYTHING.

hiya were should it be set to boot from? it says it boots from a removable device first then hard disk second then floppy third is this right?

set hard disk as first boot device, if you ever need to boot from CD etc then you can change it back then(Some motherboards allow you to it F12 to choose a temporary boot device)
