Sound Problem

I have a sound problem with Anne's PC (windows XP pro)
she can play music from the hardive or from cd but there is no sound from internet games .
i have updated DIRECT x and JAVA but still the same .
Anyone got an idea?
There is no sound from any of the games on accyweb ect
as far as i can see all settings are ok unless i have missed one somewhere

Most accyweb games are flash iirc, try updating the flash player. (right click a game to check flash settings

Is it not down to the internet security settings? hers might be set a bit too high

Ceck multimedia settings too under internet options - properties - advanced
IE or Firefox?

tools options advanced multimedia, make sure play sound in web pages is ticked.
Version 9, has it just started since this was installed? try reinstalling it

Have you tried doing a system restore? Go back to a date when it last worked and start all over again.

Have you got the latest sound card drivers? or did you let windows pick them? It doesn't always get it right :-)
