Post Configure Outlook to protect you

I read with interest, the topic on the wtc virus.
Here is a good tip to help protect yourself against the chance of ever opening an infected or suspect email.

Configure OE to hide the Preview Pane.

To do this open Outlook Express and left click on View, then Layout and take the tick out of View Preview Pane.

When you suspect an email to be suspicious, simply highlight it and delete it.

For more information about the email and to help you decide Right Click on the unopened email and select Properties.
Now click on Details then Message Source.

eeerm there is a better way.. dont accept html.. you can't get a virus from a text only email.  Never used outlook express myself but a little birdy told me the latest version at last lets you set text only

then you stll get the email but you can decide to open in a browser or not..
