Re: Piggy backing

worst, someone connects to your hub, downloads child porn, hacks a bank or three, has a crack at CIA, according to your ISPs logs it was you all along, your either extradited to guantanamo bay or getting beaten to a pulp at her majesty's pleasure in teh UK.

That sounds pretty worst that could happen IMHO

In plain english i simply cannot change my security from WEP to WPA [yes i have read the flippin manual & as i said its as much help as a pen with no ink!!!]

Simply hub is only recognising its own SSID & WEP key, tried doing WPA & lost connection completely saying cant connect, when launching hub manager it cant connect to hub but despite my change to WPA its simply bypassing it back to the wep default - plus side now windows can find my network which didnt before - weird.

So what do i do

IMHO it started out as RTM. The F was added meaning like I said, those who like to think of themselves as good boys and girls say the F means flipping so they can pretend they are not swearing

I am with Ian on this one. All these wireless routers given out by ISP to people who don't know enough about them to make themselves safe.
No disrespect to the average home user but when you start messing with networks you need to know a bit more than just "click here to connect to the internet"
