NO experiance whatsoever of management. that makes him a big NO-NO to me, Big Sam agree with yer assesment pendle red, only place i dont agree is yer choices, but hey,we all got opinions.:)

gotta wish hughes all the best, had to take the oppertunity did a great job fer us, what does need sorting is the "Contract" meaning summat wether manager or player it should be adhered to, but we all know the league won't do it.ah well i can always hope. ince is the man fer me, cos we aint gonna get a scolari fact of life.

Ince I think could be a tad early in his career for such a big step up the Ladder yet Cashy (I haven't been overly impressed with his attributes at the FES over the last couple of Seasons either)

Was speaking to one of my work contacts in Belgium today about the Euros and he follows a lot of Dutch Football and mentioned about Gus Hiddink mentioning in the past about wanting to manage in the Premiership

Big Sam walked away from Bolton for his own reasons...Mark Hughes walked away from the Rovers for his own reasons.....Paul Ince would not be in a position to attract top quality players due to lack of experience.....I would prefer a well known persona who will command respect on the international stage.............Alan Shearer...the best player Rovers have ever had, in my opinion but untried as a manager and coach.
Mc Laren...forget it.......Go Dutch?;);)

what has experience got to do with attracting players ? warnock came out recently (among others) and said that the only reason he joined rovers was because of hughes,

"I signed a new contract under the impression that Mark's going to be our manager," Warnock told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"It's not that I don't enjoy the club itself but he was the reason I came. I wanted to play for him. I respected him as a player and I respect what he's doing as a manager." (teamtalk.com)

paul ince has had more lg experience than hughes had before he took over at rovers and they are both as well known and well respected in the profession as each other, and by international, i presume you mean european ?...we aint exactly a country ;)

Don't think so! Anyone who has met Ince will say he's a complete cock. I thought mentioning his name for the Rovers job was a mickey take. He's not even a competent League 2 manager in my opinion. Without loads of dosh for transfers and Ray Matthias to coach the team MK Dons wouldn'tve been promoted.

I thought this thread was about managerless teams though ;)

On a serious note though I see they say there is no rush to bring somebody in but surely the longer it's left the shorter the transfer window gets ?

I dont know why people moan at having Big Sam! If you get him , he can keep you in the premiership , he deffinatly knows how to show a team to defend! He can also uncover good transfer gems like her did at bolton! He got bolton into europe whats the harm at rovers! Id rather give the job to him then ince then you will be playing burnley next season! :)

I agree bolton were crap to watch but he did a very good job and got good results again the chelseas etc! Alot wasnt nice to watch but got good results! Ince has no experience managing at that level! Look at birmingham , same size club etc , they had a great manager last season! Look were they are now! Championship! Rovers are going to loose quality players due to hughes leaving and they wont be replaced this season! There would be a chance rovers could go down with Ince as manager. Big Sam knows the premiership inside out , knows what you need to do at that level and knows what players to bring in to make the team efficient enough to cope! Does Ince ! No! Thats why i think he wouldnt be a good manager! He`d get them playing attractive football maybe but not football to do well in the Premiership! League 1 To Top 10 Premiership club , Big Step Up for any manager!

Theres no money hardly to bring in good quality players to challenge for europe! Hughes did wonders and brought the best out of everyone there! Without him you shouldnt be so safe about your season coming up!

mark hughes had no league experience what so ever only managed wales, n he did a great job, so that blows yer theory out the water.;)

another point fc, anyone that would pay big money fer Kevin Davies is a complete plank, Paul Mullens a better striker.

Seriously, you don't want to be landed with Paul Ince - the only reason he did well with MK Dons is because he had shed loads of money and Ray Matthias by his side, he's the one with the football brain, not Ince. He was the only manager of a team who won their league last season to not get manager of the season and there was good reason for that, the award is voted for by other managers in the league so he is obviously not held in high regard by his peers.

Yes fair enough , however Hughes has had experience at a high level as a manager (international) , Paul Ince has had management experience at League 2 not as big as international is it!

Also yes you bought Kevin Davies but theres no money left to buy big players at rovers no more! Thats why Mark Hughes left because your going nowhere , especially with no money to buy bigger players! Also id rather have Paul Mullin then Kevin Davies anyday! ;):D

Rovers always have a transfer budget, plus the fact that if one or two players leave (Bentley, Cruz would bring in £25 million minmum alone which would be £20 million profit) any new manager would have the funds to bring in new players

McClaren will be the next Blackburn manager. No doubt about it.

Re: hughes to city

Well why do you think Hughes left because he couldnt take the club forward any more and that was because of no funds!

I hope McClaren is the next Blackburn manager , it will make alot of Blackburn fans squeal in pain :D

more tripe, yes agree he probably could not take us any further, but that was NOT cos of no funds like your club:rolleyes: it was cos they havent the funds to compete with the top 4 or so, unlike your club, which is fact.and if we are being honest who has more chance of squealing with pain next season? me or you?:D
