FC United fans are still 'Big' United fans just some refuse to fund the debt of the club brought on by The Gnome (Malcolm Glazer). We have quite alot of young new generation of supporters that come to the games, but the vast majority I would say are in the 30/50 year old bracket, which is my age group, and have seen the bad (getting relegated to the 2nd division in the 70's ) And the good times. You will never totally get that out of our blood. And if you read the words in my signiture I think it says it all, especially the 'Two Uniteds but the soul is one,as the Busby Babes carry on' :D

LOL mean to explain while waching the other results come in from the start of kick off i looked on my facebook & someone had posted in response to someone that it was 1-0 to united at 3.04 so presumed they were playing same time as rest of us ..... so i informed someone about the score to be met with u what not kicking off till later, so i claimed to be mystic meg :D ....... it worked bet they are cursing me now hahaha:do-one:

Re: Rovers v Man Utd

Is almost half time and united have had 79% possession, and imo should be 3 up, but if rovers had someone who could keep up with the greyhound (santa cruz), may have been a bit different.

Re: Rovers v Man Utd

If rovers had more options with players, Im surprised Ince didnt use them, was a one way game in my opinion, united could have had more goals, the keeper was pretty good, and santa cruz was good in the first half, but not much else going on for the rovers.

Agree with all of that
My first team lost.........but my second team..........In front of 93,000 spectators in Barcelona, demolished a very good Athletico Madrid team ....6 - 1.
Lionel Messi.......man of the match.....brilliant.

Best side on the day won,no doubt, pity though the F.A. are too dense to use goal line technology, its integrated well into cricket n tennis no problem.

derekgas 05-10-2008 07:19

Re: Rovers v Man Utd

Agree with goal line technology cashy, the fa though are more incilned to fine Incy for chasing the ref down the tunnel, managers shouldnt do that, it adds pressure to the ref, but when there are millions of pounds difference between one finishing premier place and another, you have to see why managers get irritated at poor decisions.

AccyMad 05-10-2008 09:07

Re: Rovers v Man Utd

Ince has always reacted in that way though, even in League 2 where there is not millions riding on each decision - it's just the way he is. While Blackburns keeper may well have been impeded, Ince has always trained whichever players he's been in charge of to be dirty cheats so he can't really complain when it comes back to bite him on the backside

derekgas 05-10-2008 09:25

Re: Rovers v Man Utd

Agree with that too accylad, he was always a hard challenger, mentally and physically, his actions are though sometimes questionable, or even out of order, as at Accrington last season.

BLACKBURN RAVER 05-10-2008 12:52

Re: Rovers v Man Utd

outplayed and outclassed !!! simple...

ince needs to sort it, a left back in midfield and an inept youngster who isnt ready yet, at leftback !!!

when you have three midfielders sat on the bench keeping it warm its a bit disturbing TBH...

a striker who is a poacher in front of goal playing out wide and midfield and more often than not a mile behind play !!!!

and

a left midfielder who didnt look like he gave a toss !!!!

SORT IT before it goes tits up :mad::mad:

get a grip man, he waited on the touchline and asked the ref a question, he followed by the side of the ref down the tunnel, TALKING, not ranting and raving arms everywhere....

I didnt say he should be fined, I said the fa would be more inclined to fine him, chasing, was a term of phrase, but you are right, if they fine Ince for it, then there are many more who should also be fined for harrassing refs.

Not a case of slagging anyone off - just stating facts based on personal observations when he was managing both Macc & MK Dons but I do apologise if I made the mistake of thinking this was the place for people to post opinions.

Seems you have got a downer on Incy....why not try writing to him with your comments?.....Stick to your own team forum where caustic comments seem to be the norm and Ill informed reteric goes unheaded or ignored.
I watched Accrington Stanley at Peel Park, probably before you were born and the first two results I look for is Rovers and Stanley.
Before you pass comment on anyone else's management structure take a look at your own.

True, but Paul Ince is the manager of Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League.
I don't see the connection with Robbie Savage...He played for Rovers now he has gone.

Robbie Savage was the target of abuse from all areas of Ewood (and every other ground) every time he played there, either for Leicester or Birmingham, yet when he signed for Rovers his attitude and idiotic brand of football were overlooked and Rovers fans jumped to his defence. Paul Ince is a total utter prat and has proved himself to be so on many occasions. Rovers fans have agreed with this even when his name was mentioned as being on John Williams' shortlist. Oh but now? Can't fault the guy. Great manager. Blah. Blah. Blah.

well if you had bothered to read my comments on ince you would know how ridiculous that comment is, i don't like him as a person, but am prepared to give him benefit until he proves different, but like W.M. you are obviously too childish to see that, also i have i watched the garbage served up by your club,n will continue to do so,without knocking mr Coleman, which quite a few of yer lot do, its called a grown up view, you will get there, i did.

Alex Fergeson and various United players have benn fined for stuff like that.Whats the difference? As for the Stanley fans coming on here, everyone has the rights to voice thier opinions wether its your team or not.I dont have a problem with it.When all said and done they are still talking about a certain person who is linked with the thread who has had links with them.Even though they havent been good situations:) But I dont see anybody talking out of turn.Man United won 2-0 FACT Away from home FACT On a bogey ground FACT and got 3 Points FACT :D

Well. That really is a toughie. I'll stay childish, ta :D

I obviously wasn't including you in the fickle comment cashman, I know that you said from the start that you fancied Ince to be a decent manager and would give him a fair crack. The fickle gits that get my goat up are the ones that have concurred with the consensus of Ince's idiocy for years, even when he was on the shortlist to become Rovers manager, yet now because he's the manager all previous assertions are overlooked and even denied! Blind, silly faith.

The spelling leaves something to be desired, but if I was to come on here and state the That 'Sir' was a prat....what would be your reaction.
3 points well earned by MU and most Rovers fans have said so....what is the beef?

Ince tried to trip one of our players over after scoring against his side. He slapped one of our players on the back of the head in a dug out brawl. He called himself the bloody Guv'nor for crying out loud. Textbook PRAT!!

Blind, silly faith.

bit like saying coleman is a good manager and he deserves to keep his job.(because he got you to the lg)....BLIND SILLY FAITH as you put it ...:dummy2::dummy:....

I have no problem with that....and I too have had one or two Rum and diet cokes....my favourite tipple.
This is not aimed at Stanley fans in general....they seem to be a great and loyal bunch of lads and lasses...but...the rantings of one or two who take great delight in (Without knowledge or experience) try to be to be in the forefront of all that is going on in the football world.

Ahhh. I see your game now. You're doing the "I know I'm wrong but he's under fifty so I'll just play the early bed time card and look WELL good and clever" routine.

A worthy adversary.

Well I'll play along with my role.

stick to your own section of the site as they get told.... comment on your own team, we dont care what you think about ince or rovers !!!

and i stick by the sour grapes remark !!!

And I don't care what you think about my opinions (stamp me feet and have a tantrum as you obviously are doing) ...... now are you going to play nicely or have a hissy fit and take your ball home.
Oh and I do comment on my own team and management - frequently and not always in a good way - just didn't realise that was all I was allowed to do.

I watched Accrington Stanley at Peel Park, probably before you were born and the first two results I look for is Rovers and Stanley.
Before you pass comment on anyone else's management structure take a look at your own.

I have never claimed that our management is perfect (in fact they are far from it in my opinion), as for writing to Ince - already been done after his last episode of disgraceful behaviour at our ground. However I fail to see why I should 'stick to my own teams forum' - I thought the whole of AccyWeb was open to anyone's opinions - obviously it is not.

I agree with you totally and said so in previous posts on this thread. You are talking about a member of the Rovers staff so its not off topic, and as any of the mods will tell you,Accyweb is open to anyone so just carry on posting your points of view.It would be a pretty boring forum if everyone agreed on the same things :)

Well to my mind I actually think that Stanley supporters would be better consentrating on their own team, because the way things are going 30 point deductions suffered by other clubs ain't going to aide your team. I for one don't go into the Stanley section on here, because being a Rovers support, its not my concern really. But like Roy I frequented Peel Park on many occasions before half of you lot were born, and after the Rovers I like to see Stanley doing well, but at the moment they are on a downward spiral, which should concern you lot more than what our manager gets up to, and if things don't change very fast times are looking very bleak indeed

It does. No one has said or acted otherwise. Ince has connections with our team hence the comments. As mthead said it'd be a pretty pointless forum if everyone with like minded views kept to their own and banished everyone else!

Yes, the not forgettable intentional leg out to trip OUR player over, the incidents at the FES when ince managed MK, the verbal arrogance & violence to our players, staff & even our very own HARWOOD RED!!

Yet most were having a go at our chairman for his loose tongue of launguage, which was not as offensive to what ince said to a woman:rolleyes:

So thats why we have a low opinion, we've dealt with him longer than u guys - so be warned!

Re: Rovers v Man Utd

So none of you lot chat or have opinions about any other football teams? Apart from looking out for Stanley because you saw them a few times when Queen Vic was on the throne of course.

Were you indifferent and uttered not a word in the pub over City's recent takeover? You acted in the same vain over the Mike Ashley business? Robinho's signing and Terry's rescinded red card?

Of course you didn't. Guess what? It's the exact same situation as sharing your view on here. 'Keep your concerns with your own team' - utter rubbish. Of course everyone's first concern by way of football issues is their own team, but it'd be a sheltered life if that was all.

Keep on your rose tinted glasses all you wish Rovers fans, but you cannot avoid the fact that Ince acted like a right royal prat to Stanley players and supporters alike. There is no justification for the disgusting insult he barked at one of our fans, nor can slapping and tripping opposition players from the touchline be excused. That, fellas, is nothing to do with sour grapes. It's cold hard fact.

Looks like u despair then or obviously dont watch MOTD then, i can make out & lip read incey & other managers swearing easily especially at refs !! Quite blatently! Did ya watch the Peterborough docu, same happened then, whether agree or not launguage is still apparent.

Very, very easy to support a premiership team fella, how many of those die hards at Ewood would be on here boasting if they fell to Stanley's level.

Try Prescot Cables or Vauxhall Motors away on a Tuesday night instead of Old TRafford .......

Easy being "successful"!!!!

We will always have as committed & passionate fans as your lot, in fact I remember a Rovers bURNLEY game when 6 Stanley fans paid £125 each to fly a plane over Turf Moor. Now I know that you started the trend, but then you have more fans, bigger town etc

On Stanley On, punching above our weight with pride since 1999.......

jaysay like me willie went down rovers in 62 when stanley no longer had a team n weve seen some crap times, so yer premiership being very very easy to support is complete tripe, but expect nothing less.:D
