He's had God status until this weekend. Nobody has given him stick despite the away record, we are just grateful he got us where we are, even if it's only for one season, you can't take that away.

The messageboard has gone in to meltdown and he's getting some stick now, even though he hasn't officially said he's interested and not gone ( at least as I write this he hasn't).

Why ? Presumably Bolton have a bigger budget to spend on players, even if it is all debt. Allegedly he is actually better paid at Burnley than Megson was at Bolton. Sideways step to me

and a backwards one if you ask me, look at hughes when he left rovers, he left because of more transfer funds, now look at him, where is he ??? remember that pic i posted about it and somebody said i doubt it, well guess what ? i was right !!

money isn't everything, coyle has the stability at burnley that hughes had at rovers, going to a club like bolton, who if things dont go right will just sack him, or stay at burnley accept the praise and, if, and i do mean if, you get relegated he will keep his job, could that same be said at bolton if he went there, i very much doubt it...

Sums it up very well to me. If you recall Big Sam left Bolton for the same reasons as Hughes left Rovers, turned out to be a nightmare for him.

Sky Bet has Paul Jewel favourite to take over Burnley at 3/1..but lots of money going on Mike Phelan at 7/2, Mark Hughes 16/1..so far as Hughes goes some may think he will sit around and wait for a better job but at the moment there ain't any.

Not keen on Jewell myself. I would love Phelan to have a go but it's hard to know if he could hack it as number 1 instead of a no2. If I thought we had no chance of staying up I'd say go for it now. While we have a slim chance of staying up then we probably need a bit more experience.

He's not popular :D. He was always going to move on, but the manner of how it's been done and the timing has left him public enemy no 2. It's not just us Burnley fans either, he's had quite a lot of bad press this week from many sources not connected with the club.

Having said that you notice I said public enemy no 2, the number 1 is very much his fat hack bitch Alan Nixon. The bloke is the lowest of the low. His latest movewith the Grayson story is really only there to deflect Coyle's behaviour.

Well at least the Dingles will get a bit of respite on Saturday, the only play Chelski, and Drogba will be straight back in the team after the African cup of Nations:D:D:D:D

LOL!!! Nice one that Jaysay!!

I must admit the table does look a little better at the moment...but i dare not get into gloat mode just yet, lets see how many points we have by the end of March, as ive mentioned before our Home fixture run in is much harder than Burnleys so we need the points on the board sharpish to be able to fully relax!

I notice how Sam always turns things round to reflect well on himself. His latest one now that Kalinic got off the mark in the premier league, is that it was because he had showed patience with him....he doesn't see it that he might just have scored more goals earlier...and improved Rovers position...if he'd played him sooner!!

Best Regards - Taggy

Quality.

8 points above the scum and it looks to just keep rising. Their Championship squad, manager and ground will be back where it belongs next season!

Roll on the 28th March.

And never will be, poor do when fans don't aspire for their team to play at the highest level, but obviously you know your own shortcomings and limits

Maybe after this weeks court case and todays incident at stoke you choose your words more carefully or look closer to home.

I genuinely hope the fan concerned pulls through. Nobody should go to a football match and end up critically ill in hospital :(

Not a poor do at all, shows how little u know about the dizzy heights of the leagues below the prem, ask cashy and other rovers supporters that were suitably impressed with our game and terrace atmosphere - quote was "u dont get this at rover's " when stanley were on the ball and the crowd atmosphere behind the team. U lot cant stand in a standing terrace, u lot play less games than we do. So again na your wrong we have aspirations to move up the leagues, where do u go after the prem?↲

Jaysay, reckon the question of whether or not we aspire to play in the Premier is largely irrelevant, as the size of the club and the catchment area means we have no realistic chance of getting there. Aspiring to div 1 is enough for us at the moment!

There are at least half a dozen lapsed Rovers fans or Rovers fans who have adopted us as their second club who stand either with or near me on the Clayton End and they all love the atmosphere because it's something you just don't get at a Premiership Stadium.

It's a real pity that your health prevents you from coming up the Stanley with me, Cashy and the lads because the craic is something else...as Taggy is going to find out! :D

Neither did Wimbledon, but your saying if Stanley did do a Wimbledon you wouldn't be interested, I would have though every football fan would have aspirations for their team to play at the top level, if not why be a fan at all :D

Wimbledon have a bigger catchment area than us; that's why they're currently averaging gates of 3-4,000 in the Blue Square Premier, while we're averaging just under 2,000 in the Football League. Tells its own story, really.

I'm quite happy STANDING on the Clayton End and hoping for Division 1! :D
