Another referee assisted trophy for United

So United won the Carling Cup, aided and abetted by Phil Dowd, you can bet your bottom dollar that if Dunn had have dragged Michael Owen own in the box in the 4Th minute United would have been one up and Villa would have played the rest of the match with 10 men, it comes to something when even Fergie says Vidic was Lucky

Re: Another referee assisted trophy for United

Nothing said about Owen being cynically fouled when he had pushed the ball past the last defender with plenty of space to run into before the easy job of beating the keeper in a one on one which he invariably does.
Yes, Vidic should have been sent off but then so should Collins (I think it was).

Re: Another referee assisted trophy for United

rules are that the attacker must have a clear chance of scoring... Villa got the penalty so what more of a clear chance do you need?..yet another anti United thread.. and Jaysay.. I could drag up your post stating United would win nothing this season..well that's one trophy..maybe I'll be back to call it up agian come may!

Yes..got to the final despite having bad decision resulting in penalty and a man sent off at Man City in the semi final.. but off course anything that goes against us is soon forgot

Things that go against United are compensated 10 fold throughout the season
