If you're an Accy lad, you should be in mourning over yesterday! Traitor!

Wasn't the best game in the world to be honest, but will happilly take the point...with a bit more conviction, belief and effort we could have notched a win really. Chelsea were pretty poor on the whole, and were there for the taking.

Drogba should have a cushion sewn into the Arse of his shorts though, he spends so long sat on it!!

Best Regards - Taggy

The AGS under 15 team of '54 were pretty good - not a single one was asked to go for a triial at Peel Park, yet some were asked to go for trials at higher league teams. And then I saw the beautiful game, happened to be United against Blackpool - the love affair had begun.

It gets worse! You don't even have the excuse of the 60's lads that there was no Stanley to support. In fact, they were just about to embark on their best period ever and you went off to Man U. Shocked and stunned, Barrie, shocked and stunned!

Not sure of my history but didn't they fold in '62 or thereabouts? So that was the best period ever?

Thought you started watching Man U in '54 or have I misunderstood your post? If it was '62, I'll let you off!

Re: Rovers v Chelski

You do jump to conclusions. First watched United in 56/57 season I think it was - not too important a date to be indelibly engraved in my brain. Never watched "Aberdeen" Stanley under Galbraith.

Re: Rovers v Chelski

Wyn - are you suggesting that Accringtonians should only support Stanley - check around, how many Rovers, Burnley, City even Scousers and other club supporters orginate from Accrington?
I even used to watch Blackpool on occasion - Matthews & Co, then a night out in the town, Tower or Winter Gardens and the Passion Wagon home

Tell me about it, Barrie! I'm waging a lonely battle to get 'em all to at least adopt Stanley as their second club and turn up now and again. It's a hard job, but somebody's got to do it!
