Greatest American musician(s)??

Who's it gonna be? Dylan, Cash or Presley??

Re: Greatest American musician(s)??

Now this I find difficult, I like them all………The problem with this choice is that they are all the same in the cultural context of there musical background, but play, sound and resonate differently to their followers…..Bu**er I what to say Johnny cash, I hear Dylan in my mind and Elvis Presley “I met is Cousin three weeks ago” was at the top of is particular brand of music…….

It’s Johnny cash, No it’s Dylan……… Sorry folks it is Johnny Cash. I hope that didn’t “Hurt”

Woody, I realise you've arrived on this site and you want to make an impression but to stick around you're really going to have to learn to appreciate irony!

i will say what i want - you say what you want, and we'll get along fine - just dont compare Cliff to The Beatles again :)haha

i have voted for elvis ...the one and only king...

Re: Greatest American musician(s)??

i think rock n roll would be lyrically lost if Dylan wasnt on the scene - he definately aint the best musician but his lyrics are unrivalled in my opinion

...just listen to his first album; 'Song to Woody', :D

I voted Elvis. No hesitation.
I do like Johnny Cash though.
Woody Cliff is every bit has good has the Beatles.
Elvis No 1 Singer.
Beatles No 1 Band.
Cliff Richard up there with Elvis.
