Re: Accy bands
I was unsure as to whether you'd want me added because my rep isn't very good around these parts. If you're ok with it I'll add you. It'll be good to have someone local on there.
Fruityloops is pretty decent. At first I thought it was pretty crappy, because I started using it around V3, before they decided to market it and change it to 'FL Studio'. What a load of marketing rubbish, at least they admit it though. The samples back then were really basic and it was hard to make a song that didn't sound like it was made on a calculator, lol. I also have cubasis, which is the light version of Cubase, it's pretty good. Only thing is I haven't got into live recording of instruments until recently, so I haven't played with it very much. I know my Grandad uses it though, he can play any instrument live, it's more useful than FL in a live situation I suppose. Well until FL7 that is :) I've also played around with Sonar, Ableton Live and Reason, but FL is just the one for me. I've heard 'Big Bag', by Yob. Cool track, except that blues sequence has been used many times before. I think it's been in FL since version 4 or 5. Apparently he keeps getting hatemail from myspace users; people accusing him of ripping his own song off, lol. I'll check that link out. I've heard of The Attic, I just don't know where it is  Regards, Infinitus |

Re: Accy bands
It would have been nice to hear a decent recording Jane, i'm fussy about quality so I really can't hear what's going on in the song that works, the other 2 tracks are complete silence too. They're probably good tracks played live, but hearing the track like that is pretty uninspiring. Shame really.
You don't even need to record them in a studio, although it would probably be better. Invest in a soundcard with a sufficient number of inputs and record it on a PC. It'll only cost about £300 for a "fairly decent" one (although this is subjective). Plus you'll need someone who knows how to do this, but it really isn't that hard. |
Re: Accy bands
ANOTHER BAND ALERT!
Hello, please have a listen to King Casanova. We write our own material and have recently released our debut EP. We're pretty local - Preston actually. :) So see what you think, sir. Thanks. |
