Re: The Beautiful South

How sad that they have called it a day-i like BS :(
still-they gave us plenty of decent songs so can't complain-
19 years is good going!

Re: The Beautiful South

Now you're older and I look at your face
Every wrinkle is so easy to place
And I only write them down just in case
You should die

Lets take a look at these crows feet, just look
Sitting on the prettiest eyes
Sixty 25th of Decembers
Fifty-nine 4th of Julys
You can't have too many good times, children
You can't have too many lines
Take a good look at these crows feet
Sitting on the prettiest eyes

Ditto Willow, thought it was the best song they did.Not a big fan of their music, but could thought Heaton gave some cracking interviews & had a very cynical view on life, which i could relate to.Don't worry The Police are reforming.

I did like their version of I Started a Joke, and of course One Last Love Song. Too intelligent for the charts were the South.

Re: The Beautiful South

I aimed for well known tracks originally; my favourite lesser known South tracks are a different matter! I was lucky enough to get the ltd ed of "Carry on up the charts" which has many classic "unknown" tracks on it !
Amongst lesser known favourite tracks are "Woman in the wall ", "Frank and Delores" and "Danielle Steele(the enemy within) " all worth a listen if you get the chance!
Biting wit, sarcasm and a great voice,Paul Heaton is a god to me !
