Apparently the southern boundary includes most of North Africa and part of Saudi-Arabia
Most of what used to be known as Mesopotamia is also included. Basically it covers all of the territories of the former Roman Empire as well as Hyperboria, Ultima Thule and Russia.

just scrap the bloody thing or dont even bother putting any one up for it.

bring back top of the pops instead even if only for a once a year 3 hour show of the best chart songs of the year its got to be better than sitting through that rigged bias drivel :)

So they too can win it, by getting their trannies to belt one out.

As for cost.

Ireland won three times in a row, in 1992, 1993, and 1994, and found the hosting costs a burden.

Bet they're crossing their fingers they don't have anymore victories.

Now the Celtic Tiger's well and truly snuffed it, and their economy's on it's knees.

That's a point - why are Israel in the European Song Contest? :theband: is it because a large percentage of the population came from various European countries?

To be honest its just like the Champions League in football at one time you had to the champions to enter the competition now its any tom dick or harry, its all about keeping people happy not about achievement

A few years ago,our telly blew up when we were watching the "song contest".
Some French woman was bleating out a tuneless ditty and worst of all she was singing it in French!

The old box started to smoke and then finally gave up the ghost with a few sparks and a loud crack.:D

That is a true story.

So, have you heard it yet ?

A sweet enough ballad, with lovely lyrics. 'Love will set you free'.

What I raised my eyebrows about was that he stated on Radio 2 this morning, that it was not a 1st time heard attraction ... grew on you as you heard it more. ? I have heard it twice now, and he is correct.

Huh, sure this what the Eurovision is all about ...one shot only.

Heard it this morning, it was like a dirge, might have been a little better if he could still hold a note.
