So long as that is your last reference to this fact, you won't be annoying as for an idiot...

Only time will tell!
:D

Well, we have had some on here who were evangelical about their faith. So that is why we might seem a bit wary.

Well, from my point of view most of you have been coming at me like I've done something wrong already. I haven't. Try to be less ignorant. Not everyone is the same, be it Christian, Athiest, Gnostic whatever. And less quick to come to conclusions. I'm not the one who is being quite rude and unwelcoming. I know I will probably be attacked for this statement, but it's not that important. I just came into this site for some fun and possibly make a friend or two.

Whoa, hang on there, we aren't being ignorant just cautious, we are willing to welcome you so long as you behave.

Calling folk ignorant is not going to build you a friendly relationship.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt and a likey, well perhaps you haven't earned either if this is how you are to be.
:(

Perhaps if you read this thread:-

From about post #26 you will see what not to do?

It just never happens though, they are always after souls to save can't leave a body alone.

It's hard to keep body and soul together in tough times like these.;)

I think you are very defensive for someone who has done nothing wrong.
Even members of similar or same faith are unique in themselves.
I think it is you who are coming to conclusions......and I don't think anyone has been particularly rude.
If you are so sensitive you might find it a bit hard going to do either of the things that you have as your goal.

Oh and if you are feeling like you have been attacked, then there is a report button for that.
The internet is a very difficult medium to get across the fine nuances in communication.
Last of all...please do not think that this is me attacking you for the last post of yours.
I look forward to seeing what you post.

Re: Hymns... out of fashion or eternally good??

Why is it that some people feel the need to be very quick to express the fact that they are of a particular faith on this forum? Of course it is the prerogative of that person to do so but really not necessary. It’s a completely private affair between that person and whatever religion they belong to. You are who you are, you believe in what you believe. So be it.

A message to Leonidis. In the past, as you have probably gathered by now, there have been people who, after joining the forum and being sincerely and warmly welcomed, then took advantage of this outlet by posting their religious beliefs in a very aggressive manner. They became very rude and offensive to anyone who dared to oppose their views, making personal and unwarranted comments about those who did so.

This is a friendly, helpful, caring, interesting and often funny forum – with people having lots of differing views on various subjects like members of a big family have, and like a family we don’t always agree with each other. However, we respect each other’s viewpoints and no one tries to influence anyone in the way that some of those have tried to do in the past with their religious beliefs. We agree to beg to differ.

So maybe you will understand the reason why the apprehension when new members post their religious beliefs so early on. We are a bit wary as to what this might lead to.

Irrespective of the above, I hope you get as much enjoyment out of being part of Accyweb as so many of the members do, including me. There are many subjects to post about and to comment on. Enjoy!

I urge all on here to be tolerant and accept that we don't all share the same opinions.

Two posts, in this thread, both of which make it appear that your priority is that the members of the site should change to suit a newbie, we answered your first post in a positive manner, your friend then posted a few comments, surely you should be telling him to settle down if he wishes to become a useful member?

Tell you what, we'll allow you to adopt him, become responsible for him, if he comes back and becomes a pain in the backside, it will be up to you to sort him out, (failure by you to keep him in line resulting you getting a similar ban to what he may get) .

Then we'll see how tolerant you really are.
:)
