Although it's 34 years to the day since Dr Feelgood reached No 1 in the album chart with "Stupidity", it's got to be said that the original by the late Sol was THE version.

One of my favourite 45's of all time, released by an impossibly obscure band in the Chicago area in the late 60's and sank without a trace. Later became a huge Northern Soul favourite in Stoke, Wigan and all points North. But it's far more than just a Northern Soul record...it's a vibrant, compelling mix of soul, funk, rock, jazz and a lot more. Listen to the energy leap from the grooves of this record...pure excitement!
