Really rated Margaret's lad and his band for a long time now. Just listen to their version of "Mercy Mercy Mercy" on their site:
Rob Livesey Band ...and they're on at the Darwen Jazz & Blues Festival at the Millstone Pub on Aug 6th. Actually, this festival looks pretty promising, featuring the Swing Commanders - top Western Swing band who give a brilliant live performance (just ask Cashy!) and the Soul Train who play 60's/Motown/Northern Soul. Sounds like a good do!
