Re: Your Fav Country and Western Songs.

I am teased often for liking this sort of music.

I am going to Damnation festival this weekend and I go to Bloodstock every year as well-my acquaintances are mostly into their rock and metal, as am I,but just-not all the time

I sometimes think some of them would disown me if they caught me on an introverted night & saw my playlist

'Incredibly sophisticated'? Beyond me then.
I always thought the words were 'don't mean we can't sleep around', sugarmouse. It didn't ring right but hey, it was only a song.

Glad to see you like Gordon Lightfoot ... a great Canadian artist. Considering the recent storm, this one is apt:

I know it's a reflection of how he was and felt at the time but I can't think it could ever be 'Your fav country and western song'.
Now 'Jackson'-yes please.
Ok then how about

Are you sure that is the music or is it the conspiracy conversations you have over the music?

you wanna play American music club and Red house painters to ya mates and then see what happens.....

I know he's probably more folk than country, but I really like John Prine. And these are two of my favorites.

Forgotten "Up on Cripple Creek" The Band. What a good song incredibly performed.

Well, depressing music, hardly what I would call C&W but I can't remember a more depressing song:-

I LOVE this song. I can listen to it on repeat. Genius-but then also I have something of an obsession with shipwrecks generally. I've currently got 'Great Sea Disasters' on audiobook in my car stereo. Rock and Roll!

Trent Reznor famously said he had 'Given' this song to Cash, on the grounds that he did it unquestionably better. "This song isn't mine anymore".
