I remember the advert well, mainly because we've never been allowed to forget it. I was more puzzled by the decade. Surely the advert was in the 80s?? Probably around 1988-ish wasn't it? :)

Yeah...I think you're right. The advert featured Ian Rush and he started at Liverpoll in 1980.
I think I'm getting old.

Pearl & Dean referred to us a few years ago, cant remember exactly but it was derogatory and the club took offence, P&D offered compensation money.
