I was talking to a burscough fan yesterday and they mentioned it to me. Apparently its supposed to be a reserve game, I wonder how they'll feel when the first team turn up!!!

Was there tonight we should of won about 8/9-0 with the amount of chances we had....their keeper played very well to be fair...dont know were you got that bit about Burscough came back strong in the second half from must of been watching a different game to me......
Team included- Danny Alcock, Danny Ventre, Peter Cavanagh, Chris Butler, Andy Procter, Matt O'Neil, Paul Cook, Ged Brannan.... Goalscorer was trialist Thomas Rooney (cousin of Wayne) :) |

Cheers Kipax. I was at game too and although we got roasting first half and were always on the defensive my comments about a really gutsy second half display by such a young side against a very strong Stanley squad were entirely accurate. Understand Smiffy's bias but should be mature enough to recognise the second period was a much more even affair which relected well on Burscough considering wide gulf in experience of two teams. Good luck with your season.
