Re: Game tonight (wed) at Burscough

I was talking to a burscough fan yesterday and they mentioned it to me. Apparently its supposed to be a reserve game, I wonder how they'll feel when the first team turn up!!!

Stanley won 1-0. Dominated first half but young Burscough side came back strong in second half. Report at www.burscoughfc.co.uk

Re: Game tonight (wed) at Burscough

Cheers Kipax. I was at game too and although we got roasting first half and were always on the defensive my comments about a really gutsy second half display by such a young side against a very strong Stanley squad were entirely accurate. Understand Smiffy's bias but should be mature enough to recognise the second period was a much more even affair which relected well on Burscough considering wide gulf in experience of two teams. Good luck with your season.

3rd July 2005
Wayne's cousin Tommy Rooney has joined Total Network Solutions following his release from Macclesfield Town.

The 20-year-old, who signed on non-contract terms, will be included in the Welsh club's UEFA Champions League squad, who take on Liverpool later this month.
