Re: National XI team news
...which means they'll be playing three games in five days!
|
Re: National XI team news
I hope Coley decides to withdraw them both from the squad...the internationals are of no real importance whereas our championship push must take priority.

I can assure you they are of massive importance to Craney and Roberts and I daresay lots of other people and countries even. I agree its a worry and I wish they where NOT playing .. but then again I wish they where not playing this saturday and next tuesday. But i wouldnt say the whole national non league setup is of no importance. |
Re: National XI team news
I thought Gary was Welsh? ;)

Re: National XI team news
I wouldn't have thought the non-league game was that important to them, as, one way or another, they'll be playing league football in a few months' time.

Re: National XI team news
I ahave spoken to Jon Kennedy and Cav on the subject and they where proud as punch to play for the England XI .. It is a big thing to them.. I presume its the same for them all.
I should think pulling the England shirt on at any level is a big thing for a footballer or any sportsman... One life... take chances that might not happen again |

Re: National XI team news
Well done to Ian and Gary, they fully deserve it.
I do hope they play and Craney is made captain. They are young and they are full-time professionals and they are certainly capable of playing three games in SIX days. As Kipax said, the pride of playing for your country and the things that they will learn from playing with and against such good players, will only benefit the players as well as the Club. |
Re: National XI team news
All credit to them lets get behind them and give every ounce of our ort. They have a fantastic opportunity to play for their Country and not only that in doing so they are enforcing and promoting the good name of Accrington Stanley Football Club.

Ok, well, I appear to be in the minority view here so I'll concede defeat...it still worries me though!!
