It is from Eric. Listen to the 6 minute interview with him just over halfway down the page on Tealeaf's link.

the local paper dahhn ere in da sarff....suggests that Eric sent a fax back asking where the other nought was on the offer, anything less than £200000 and he wouldnt even talk to yeovil.

I douby Yeovil have 200K to spend on Gary....Unless they have given us a player or we have had to comprimise..

Eric did sound pretty annoyed in the interview, with Gary, his agent and Yeovil. Can't blame him really, Yeovil yet again are out of order in the way they've come in for Gary, sounds to me like Gary is being swayed by whoever his agent is and maybe Anthony Barry's also had some part to play. I really hope he thinks this through properly and decides to stay but if it really is a good move for him and the club get a decent fee for him then I'd wish him the best of luck.

If he doesn't want to play for us, then we're better off without. Although Yeovil doesn't seem like a very good choice imho

It looks like we may already have a ready made replacement with Sean Doherty though

Hi guys,

not going to get into an arguement over this as that's not my style. But what do people think Yeovil have done wrong in this?

It seems that we made a bid through the proper channels, which your chairman chose to tell the press about and then rejected the offer. Now Yeovil seem to have gone back with a couple more bids.

Doesn't seem anything wrong in that?

But maybe I've missed something.

Good luck for the forthcoming season. Still remember our first League game at Rochdale in 2003.

damn double posts!!!

Re: Gary Roberts

It sound to me like the two clubs haven't agreed a fee therefore yeovil haven't been given permission to talk to the player, but somehow Gary seems to know what wages he'll be on at yeovil and what the terms of that deal are.

Whether its yeovil tfc that have spoken to him, Anthony Barry talking to his mate Gary or gary's agent getting those figures from wherever he would get them from, It all sounds a bit dodgy to me and kind of like an illegal approach.

I am surmising this however from Erics radio interveiw and reports in the papers so 2+2 may eqaul 56 and I could be totally wrong. But then again.......

Re: Gary Roberts

Well one thing that doesn't make sense is the suggestion that he'd be on a very good wages at Yeovil. We are not high wage payers, and would have been in the bottom 5 wage payers last season.

Nice juicy appearance bonus maybe..I have to agree with Sparkie here, Eric says that Gary is only going for the money which must mean Gary knows what he would get there..If Yeovil have done wrong by tapping him up/making an illegal approach then i'm sure Eric and the Club will be in contact with the FA if they feel they have done wrong..

Why would Hereford take an interest?

...it's not like he looks like a sheep from behind is it?

...baffled

I wouldn't like to comment on that ,my point was summed up in the 2nd word of our glorious club underlined and in red . Unity is strength
