Re: www.kipax.com
Is it a final decision and nothing can be done?
If we started a petition would it help? It seems a great shame after all the publicity we got last season that a well used and much loved part of Stanley will be no more. |
Re: www.kipax.com
Really sad. Just discussing it with 'im indoors and we both agree it's unfair. All that support and effort you have put into it and what do you get?
Sorry mate x |
Re: www.kipax.com
Its A Shame And Like All Stanly Fans Far And Wide In This Big World I Would Allways Look At Your Pics, Just One Thought If You Stood In The Crowd At The Front (im Sure The Accy Fans Would Move Out Of Your Way) How Can They Stop You From Taking Pictures And Why Cant You Post Them On A Web Site?

Re: www.kipax.com
What an absolute shame Kipax  Have loved looking at the pictures over the years, and still like to look back at seasons gone by. You've done an incredible job, great pics tonneeeeee.
|
Re: www.kipax.com
very very sad but i do hope fan pics will still appear along with pics of other games that you cover tony.
alll the best for reds world wide this is not good news at all:mad: |
Re: www.kipax.com
God Tony thats cr@p!! The pictures are a way for the fans who can't get to the games to see the events unfold and not just pitch side.
I just assumed seeing as you were an official conference photographer that they'd just upgrade you to league level. Does this not infringe your human rights?!!! |
Re: www.kipax.com
This seems like a load of bo**ocks to me, how can the football league decide what you do with your camera? If you can't appeal, start a petition, I would be amongst the first to sign it. The Football League already look like a joke as big as the Conference, the powers that be are all incompetent! It's all about sponsors and money these days, they don't even care about the fans. Seriously Tony, appeal if you can, if not we need to start a petition, 'cos the desicion is unfounded and unjust.

Re: www.kipax.com
I am still taking pictures.. Its what I can/cant do with them thats the problem guys.. I cant publish them on kipax.com ... They wont be my pictures they will be the clubs pictures which is different to before... I wont have a licence .. the club will..
I cant get a licence myself because silly little me doesnt sell pictures... You have to prove 15 sales over the last year and I cant... thats sales to media.. papers books etc. It is illegal to take pictures in the ground from anywhere other than touchline.. even licenced photographers arnt allowed... however this obviously does happen all the time.. but stewards can remove you from the ground for it and they should know that rules themselves?... Your certainly not allowed to publish them if you manage to take them.. although again it happens.. I cant go against the rules or I will lose what licence I have.. Crowd shots.. when I asked him about that he seemed shocked and said that was a big no .... sigh :( I will know more when I see the agreement I ahve to sign.. But deffo cant publish as I was doing before :( |
Re: www.kipax.com
Are they paying you though?
Because if they are then they are entitled to state the terms and conditions. |
Re: www.kipax.com
Pay me ? hehe NO .. the club dont and never have paid me and the league dont pay you... There are a few people who seem to think I have made money from the club but in fact its been quite the opposite..
They run the league so they can say what happens in the league.. Its the same for all photographers of every club on all the leagues... The conference is a little more lapse.. All football grounds in the UK have ground rules and one of which is NO photography on the ground other than by licenced photographers and only at touchline.. No photography from stands or terraces by anyone.. thats in every ground rules in the country.. Everything at a football club is licenced.. you cant take pictures of players and do what you want with them ... if you ahve your own licence you get to do more.. But as I say... because I havent been selling my pics I am not deemed a proffesional.. I would need to prove media sales and believe it or not (Karen Faz will back me up on this) they want to see press cuttings and matching invoices. There league.. there rules :( |
Re: www.kipax.com
I'm a bit confused though. If the club are using your pictures shouldn't you be charging them for them? Is there going to be a licensed photographer on the ground or are they going to miss out?
If fifteen of us on here buy one of your prints would that make you a professional? Can you not use other things that you're going to get paid for to state that you're professional? Have you not got examples of the local papers using your pictures? Sorry, I know I'm being a pain but there must be some way round this. |

what they do.. they do to every club in the league and always have... a loophole might be the online shop and selling pics on there.. you ahve to show them to sell them so in effect it would double up as a shop and gallery... but gotta wait to see what website they use yet... |
Re: www.kipax.com
I probably won't get to many away games, but as for home games,as they say I will publish and be damned.
|
Re: www.kipax.com
Mr K. Can you still sell Photographs from previous seasons? If you can would they count towards the 15 you need to go pro.
|
Re: www.kipax.com
Doug they can be any from anytime... any pictures so long as action shots... from any team... But like I say.. they must be to recognised media....
Even then.. it means I get a licence but would still be restricted in what I can do with them as terms of the licence.. I dont know what that is yet.. But MikeA pointed me in a direction and I am looking into that..... A good loophole like I say would be the shop |
