Professionalism?
On August 4, I ordered and paid online a new scarf and the match programme from the Darlington home game. I have emailed the club since - about one week ago - as I had not (and have still not) received either.
I assume the club are a bit snowed under at the moment and have been these past few weeks, however, I am a little bit miffed not to even have received a reply to my email, which was sent to sales@..., as suggested on my order confirmation email. Hopefully, the problem I am experiencing is unique to me and the club will sort this out soon. However, if there are others experiencing difficulties, it is something the club should look to address. I am sure everyone is working their socks off... and I'll just have to be a bit more patient... but a little reassurance would go a long way. |
Re: Professionalism?

Re: Professionalism?
I never had a reply to two emails I sent, either. Not a thing. First was sent July 31st, other towards the end of that week.
Ah, well... |

Re: Professionalism?
Why the hurry? I sent an e-mail and it took 5 weeks to get a reply. Aren't all businesses run like this?

Re: Professionalism?
Sorry, Cammy, 1st July 2004 ????
Is nothing right in Accrington? Or is it me? |
Re: Professionalism?

I only mentioned it because if there are other people who've been waiting this sort of time for a reply to email correspondence, it shows there is something wrong in the system somewhere. It could be something as simple as a spam-blocker wrongly deducing that certain emails are spam (I know I have to keep an eye on what hotmail puts as spam - every now and then a real mail gets put in there), or any number of other reasons. Whatever the problem is, it needs highlighting to ensure that it can be sorted. |
Re: Professionalism?

Re: Professionalism?
Another week has gone by and despite emails, including to the suggested "Lee" above, still no reply nor have I received the scarf and programme I ordered and paid for online at the beginning of August. It is the club which advertised the programme would be sent out on the day of the match and other goods purchased online are sent out within 7-10 days.
I am very disappointed. If this is the sort of experience other exiled supporters are having to put it with, I wonder what impression it is giving and whether it is having a knock-on effect. When Whalley next complains about lack of support, may someone closer to him remind him of the lack of concern about supporters. |
Re: Professionalism?
I was told Monday that some had been held back and that it would be sent out shortly, today I was given the impression that I should have receive it anytime. Notwithstanding those comments I will be calling into the shop if it’s not in tomorrows post. Obviously I’m disappointed with the situation, especially after putting a personal message in the programme and ordering and paying for it in advance of the game, but what gives me more concern is that I am unsure that I would trust in placing and paying for advanced orders in the future. The net result will be a reduction in my spending.

Re: Professionalism?
Got mine a couple of days ago. Lets hope the club can clear up this mess soon as it does not reflect well for exiled supporters.

Re: Professionalism?
Still waiting for mine!

Don't worry Kitchener - I am in the same boat as you are. I ordered mine by phone before the match as I was going away on holiday - ordered 4 programmes (including 3 for friends who could not be there) and also paid for a dedication to Stanley. All was paid upfront and yet I have not received anything either or heard anything from the club, though Lee was very nice when I was dealing with him over the phone. I understand they are busy but it certainly does not look good. I'll be on that phone on Monday morning asking what is going on ! |

<O:p This is becoming a shameful situation and I think it’s time that someone at the club acted positively to remedy it. Those of us that had family that were affected by the 62 diabolical will understand the affect that indifference by the club can have on supporters.<O:p |
