Stanley Online Store

Am I missing something, or is there even less merchandise available online now than before? I was going to buy a new beanie hat, but I can't see them online. Likewise adult sweatshirts, training tops, etc.

Apparently they played really, really well and every lady was a hero. Unfortunately they narrowly lost 29-0, although they only had 7 players turn up*. Unlucky, but it's the way they lost that counts!

It's so you can't order something that's not going to be delivered. New tactics after the Darlington programme and pink shirt fiasco.

It's just not good enough, this season the club should be falling over themselves to encourge us to part with our cash. What have we got a bar where we can't buy a drink, a clubshop where we can't buy a hat, what is going on, are the staff not good enough or as I suspect does the club need a couple of new people. Personally I think the boat has already been missed so the buck has to stop at the current staff, promises that cannot be kept should not be made.

What exactly is your problem with the ladies team TM? All you ever do on here is snipe at them. Yes, the girls lost 8 nil on Sunday but they played really well, specially for a team who've only been playing together for a few weeks. If you don't want to go along and support them, fair enough but there's no need to have a go at them at every opportunity!

Tin Monkey 26-09-2006 13:20

Re: Stanley Online Store

Can you describe it as a team? I thought a football team had at least 11 players? Even the 'team' picture only has 10 players!

I'm just thankful that the Ladies have no official connection with ASFC, otherwise it would be embarrassing. :D

maccawozzagod 26-09-2006 13:28

Re: Stanley Online Store

thats not fair TM. Even if the first team, the real one, was getting beat every week we'd still support them wouldn't we?

THAT PHOTO WAS TAKEN AT THEIR FIRST MATCH AGAINST CARLETON
AT PENRITH. IF YOU READ THE THREAD ON THAT GAME YOU WILL FIND THAT THERE WAS ONLY 10 PLAYERS THAT DAY.

A proper team photo will appear when Mr K. gets the chance to take one.
with may I add will also show them in the official kit. however if you look on Kipax's website at photos of the ladies game against PNE you will find 13 players on the squad photo, wearing the official away kit.

For God's sake, let it drop - you might think it's funny keep having a pop at the ladies team (yes I said team) but to be honest it's getting a little stale now! Don't knock what you haven't seen, either go along to a game so you actually know what you're talking about or put up and shut up! Rant over - I'm not gonna let you wind me up any more over this

You arrogant, self opinionated little man...........as previously stated by AccyMad, and myself in another thread where you also 'slagged off' the ladies TEAM, get off your a*** and go watch a match, then perhaps you will understand..........oh and it would also give the girls an opportunity to have their say!!

Will we see you on Sunday?..................I expect not somehow.

As a player for the Ladies team, i have a few things to say to Tim Monkey...

Who cares if we lose our matches. As you have been told by several people already, we havent been together as a team for long and we are still learning how each other plays. We play as a team and we lose as a team like LOTS of other clubs but we keep our heads up and we keep trying.
We always knew we werent going to win against PNE Ladies a couple of weeks ago but we went and had a good time and we even had a laugh at the end of the game. :p

Its a shame that we have people like you who try to make us feel bad because we lost our matches. Well ive got news for you...If you think that your snide remarks are going to get us us, then you are sadly mistaken. You might as well give up you antics right now.

If you dont have anything good to say, then you shouldnt bother wasting your time and energy in posting anything at all. All you going to do is embarrass yourself.

To everyone who have supported the ladies team, i want to thank you. I give credit to the supporters who have come down every week to watch us play and hopefully, we will get a few more to come and watch. You have been a real moral booster. Cheers

It diverted and now about Tim Monkeys thing about women playing footy. he has upset so many stanley fans men and women alike he has come up with a devious plan to make it all look like a bit of a wheeze. trouble is only a cowboy fell for it. only kidding. I am sure you didn't really. did you?

It's all good advertising. I may even watch a game. Wouldn't it be wierd if he was actually doing this for that reason. to help them get people interested. oh my head is starting to itch now.

Eh?? Why should I be back tracking? The problem is people take things on this forum sooooooo seriously. To me it's nothing but a big laugh. Real life provides enough stresses for me, without creating even more on here.

UKCowboy, I may very well pop along to game sometime. ;)

As for the original topic, well it seems we're not that interested. I've grown a little tired of banging the 'internet sales drum'. It's an enormous lost opportunity and that's a shame, but the likes of me going on about it isn't going to make any difference.

Thats rich comin from you innit. Jumping all over my comments on the Wycombe game and crying to the Moderators.

Womens football is the only realistic footy left, the mens game is all about cash. At least most of the women actually come from the towns they play for not like a bunch of foreigners calling themselves Chelski. (not that I`ve got anything against foreigners like).

Get back to the merchandise would you. Maybe everyone should post what kind of things they would like to see for sale then have a poll to see which would prove most popular. That would give them some ideas which investments would pay off, no point in just selling junk if no-one wants it.
Of course the will be that CD available soon, how if I get the ball rolling by going back to the original post and suggesting "Stanley`s Back" beanie hats.
Come on, What do you want ?

Polo shirts, T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, badges, coffee mugs, mouse mats...oh, and one other little item that you do see the odd football fan wearing every now and again...scarves.

Is that enough to be going on with?

Re: Stanley Online Store

Accrington Stanley printed cheap disposable crap.

1/ things like them horns for kids. Cost about £1.50 direct from manufacturers. Get em printed in red and white only, sell em for next to nowt. Not in the shop as no more than about five people at a time can fit in there. Lets have folk on the corner of Livingstone Road/away end and also at the bottom of the steps from The Crown. £3 a pop, double bubble made and every kid would want one.

2/ Ultras are well known for their flaggeryness. Little wavy Ultra flags for all the kids. Again, they cost about 50p on tinternet for them England Car flags so would cost summat same for red Ultra flags.

3/ One-off t-shirts related to the game that day. 'Moonie is an arse on show' could have been one for Wycombe.

End result? A pound or two profit on cheap tacky items would put money in the coffers and the Clayton End would be resplendent in noise, colour and cheap sarcastic wit. Rather like Blackpool.

I mentioned that somewhere a couple of weeks ago. When its raining at Blackpool pleasure beach you can buy them macs for a quid. If somebody can tell me where I can buy a stack of em I'll get em printed and sell em for two quid! All profit split between OSC and local charity.

Not sure about that as it could be a way to lose money just as easily. If they don`t all sell on the day who`d want one for the Swindon game.

I`ve checked some prices with our T-shirt producer and it`d cost around £455 for a run of 100 Ts, 2 colours i.e. Red and white onto Gildan ultra cotton Ts. Maybe a bit cheaper for single colour i.e. white onto a red shirt. But with all T shirt runs there is a set up cost so the greater the longevity of the T the more you will save on re-prints. These are good quality Ts and a print that doesn`t come off the first time you wash it, and lasts even better if you turn them inside out. (just while washing you moron, not like getting the extra wear out of your skiddies)
Seatshirts would be £900 for a similar job, again on good quality garments.
These are provisional prices for official club runs, he may knock a bit off for unoffishal Ultras stuff. A lot depends on the design.
Embroidery costs for the Burnley FC Crest runs at £1.30 per garment (garment provided) with around £100 set up cost. The more stitches involved the more they cost.

Anyway that`s a few ideas for you so open your paint program and get designing.

Cheers
