Re: shrewsbury game
Exactly True Shrew.
Sometimes it takes an unbiased view to get it through to some people. I recall a post Kippax made not so long ago saying that Bav is our best keeper by far after he kept us in a game and it's right. Some people seem to forget the amazing saves he makes that keep our heads above water sometimes. His save in the second half on Saturday kept us in it and yes he makes mistakes but the wind/pitch don't help. Bav needs to stay in goal and we need somebody in to take Dibs place to help him with his kicking. I'm sure he doesn't need telling how to kick a ball but nevertheless a bit of coaching can never go amiss. Bav must stay in between the sticks. |
Re: shrewsbury game
All true 'keepers will produce 'amazing' saves from time to time (as well as stupid mistakes) but a punt downfield is done with no pressure on and to miss kick on a frequent basis is proving costly. There can be no excuse for it(barring injury),Its something basic most schoolboys get right from an early age.Ian is a professional.

Re: shrewsbury game
it wasnt just bavs fault he was mostly to blame not all it was amatuerish defending as well .they all knew the wind was blowing into stanleys half and if any of their midfielders got a head to it they would be struggling to get it as their cheating centre forward had a bit of pace its what shankley said let the strikers score goals let the defenders defend;) anyway its in the past now and i think bav should stay in goal hes our no1
elliots charltons no3 and if they called him back our keeper would be lacking match fitness......... |
