I might have some print bags left. You know the ones with the paper backing. I should have some decent card mounts somewhere as well I’ll have a look around, if I have you can have them. As for your question, its years since I bought staff like that, so I wouldn’t be much help.

You could have a side stall with a collapsible background and a reflector, and then have the missus doing snaps of the public with their favourite player. Have a laptop and a photo printer on standby in the Club office or somewhere else that’s secure and you could do tem minute turn a rounds.

You’ll have to blag the players into helping out by being around, but hey they might enjoy the attention of all those dolly birds and their mothers.

event photography is somehting i like doing...i then supply the event organisors with the pics.. But the ability to print onsite and sell there and then...thats a different kettle of fish and not as simple as it sounds... i certainly dont have the equipment for it... everyhting i ahve is geared to sports or outdoors.... any flash work i do is a bit hit and miss to be honest

Would be a good idea if it could be made to happen. Might bring more people out.

Re: OSC Open Day.

yes and No.

The point of 29th April is that Eric wanted the date as early as possible to allow work on the pitch and stadia to begin.

If, and its a big if, events go as planned or visualized this could be as big as the carnival in its own right but without the procession. It is an Open Day and a Fun day. Due to the funding that we may be able to source, we can get right into the heart of the community and drag out people who may never have been to the ground. I have contact with food festival people so that we can lure the more Cosmopolitan Accringtonian, we can get arts and craft types through various workshops that we can attract (drumming workshop anybody?), we can do something with the minority groups via the diversity forum, we can try to attract the disabled groups (no ideas yet on what we could do to attract them though). IMHO the sky really is the limit. But it is going to rely heavily on people stepping up.

As far as the Carnival is concerned, what we learn from the Open Day and the new friends we make, will stand us in good stead to readily embrace the public and the new affinity they may have with us. We may have purchased, through the funds made on the day, Gazebo type structures printed up with the club crest and livery on it so that our stalls (note the plural) look bigger, brasher and more professional than ever before. Ditto for othe revents that we should attend such as the Royal Lancashire show and the Mela etc. Every event needs to be viewed as an opportunity to meet folk, take the club into the community and network rather than as a mere profit making venture .... "its not worthwhile doing as we only made a hundred quid last time" ........ quite, but how many people were impressed by us and may have a look up there, should be the answer.

As far as selling pics is concerned Kipax, the more the merrier. Your product is excellent as testified by every non-league club that now misses the pictography of their games against us. Site yourself wherever you want mate - but bear in mind that we will more than likely be using the exhibition material if I can source some of those large boards to put them on (on a borrow basis if anybody knows anybody, cos they're expensive (but if the lottery grant comes through in time :) ). That will have to go in the clubhouse so work around that if you like.

Somebody is going to have to rein me in soon because its going to become to big......................

I think the Royal Lancs Show is a non-starter due to the fact it is primarily for farming folk! The Mela on the other hand is a brilliant idea. Count me in for any assistance but bear in mind I am going to be down under for most of May. After that, well the skys the limit (oh and my job as well)
