David Brown

According to fishy site stanley are to appeal against DBs sending off which is great but and please correct me if i,m wrong (and the BBC web site) but did,nt he get shown a yellow in the first half ??
The match officials were worse than useless again on saturday and also after watching the video footage several times over IMHO it was no way a dirty blatant foul that deserved a red, a good talking to would have done at that stage of the game.
I hope we do go to appeal and win cos we need brownie for the run in and lady lucks got to shine on us sometime soon.

No I don't remember a yellow card for David on Saturday.. and the ref definitely brandished his red straight away, not yellow then red...I hope we win the appeal cos we bloody well should do

Fishy site says sending off was for serious foul play, which carries automatic 3 match ban. :(

Although I thought Brownie was stupid to dive in needlessly, there was no way it was serious foul play, no way on earth.

There'd be no-one left if this plonker officiated at, say Macclesfield v. Chester. ;)

i really hope that david gets his card taken away because he really does deserve to be in the starting line up.

I think Brown was just very unlucky, wrong tackle at the wrong time, the ref had just booked Williams which in my opinion was, or at least looked worse than Browns and i think with flying in almost straight after i think the ref just thought he`d put a stop to it, very unlucky to get a straight red as it didn`t look that bad, and i think he could win the appeal as it was no way a red card offense.

It wasn't the kind of game for a streight red, like allredy mentioned a good talking too and a yellow would have made more sense. If it does go to appeal, i'm confident the red will be overturned.

Generally agreed amongst our lot that the card was harsh. Yes the earlier challenge was worse but I guess the ref had just had enough of the constant fouling and Browner was the one who caught for it.

Certainly not. Nor, for that matter, would most of the rest of the League I suspect. You don't get one of the worst records in the League for being angels do you.....and no, I don't think we deserved anything out of the game. We wouldn't have beaten a pub team on Saturday. In fact......

Ludicrous decision! It should at least have been reduced to a yellow card, makes you wonder if the FA even looked at it. I know some players get a reputation & sometimes get sent off because of it but David Brown is not one of those, bloody shame!
