Does anyone fancy a day out in the sunshine drinking beer all afternoon? :D

And for those who like cricket there's an added bonus - watching Accrington Cricket Club and help them stay in business.

Accyweb are organising a days sponsorship at the cricket club and I thought we could get a team of Stanley Supporters together to join in on the fun.

Date and time yet to be set, but the cost will be around £20 each and includes drink and food :)

If i'm in the country, I'm up for it.

I can't do the 29th of July though, as I'm already signed up to sponsoring the Rishton v Lowerhouse game.

Well, forget them, they are not about to go bankcrupt... think all members of the Lancashire League should pitch in here. However, to be fair Sparkie, does sound like you may be up for another day. ?

I got my dates mixed up... :o

The date that Lettie & I are in the sponsors lounge at Rishton CC is the 8th of July.

So am I getting this right? You pay 20 quid or whatever, but then the ale is free?

I think it really needs checking out exactly what is included in the sponsorship!!! Give me a date and I'll let you know if I'm free :) (easier than trying to list the dates I have free over summer anyway)

I have put this on the general chat thread to so apologies if you have read it already!
Rod (chairman of Cricket club) has suggested the following dates for you lot sponsoring a match; V Church on June 17th or V Haslingden on 15th July;both good local derbies and usually well attended by visiting fans.
The deal is a tenner a head to sponsor the match;obviously for that uou get the heartfelt thanks of the club; a mention in the programme,and most importantly "complimentary drinks and buffet". you could get a trophy to award to best/worst /slowest palyer if you wish !
Please be assured that the Club are really grateful for this gesture and let's hope for fine weather on which ever day you chose !
