Wrong. If the fact is that an option exists, then that in itself is a fact. It is irrelevant that an option - that as an idea that may have been tested and found not to be viable - it remains a fact that the option was tried.

Had a cracking day out in Lancaster today. Caught up with a few friends and saw The Seventh Seal at the Dukes. It's good to get out in the real world. Stops you from taking the cyberworld so seriously. :D Of course, if that's all you've got.......

Another good thing is that there's going to be a roof on the Clayton End, just to keep my post on topic.

This 'thing' has got the 'Wow' factor.Impressive indeed. Have to agree with Ber999T that the roof itself will really define it.Those latest KIPAX pics suggest a clear roof will make it look SUPER fantastic.

Gotta be fair KJ - we haven't been that badly hit with weather in sunny Lancashire. Just across the pennines and down to the midlands, well that is a different story. But yes the framework is fantastic, I think the clayton enders will be glad when the roof slats go on to truly keep them dry lol

I got to just enough home games last season (6) so yes.

I sing with the Ultras away from home including home and away against Macc.

Or are you implying that the singing is not loud enough?

Tin Monkey 03-08-2007 08:22

Re: Roof pictures

I don't really understand the need for this MySpace site. It looks poorly laid out and difficult to read. If it was done by a fan, then fair enough. To say it's done by the club.... well, you know what I think?

It also says that it will give fans a place to express their views and discuss the club, but isn't that already going on here and has been for years? I know this forum isn't always popular with the powers-that-be, so maybe that's the thinking behind this scheme?

It also says, "We will keep all supporters up to date with news". Well isn't that the purpose of the official site? It is for most other clubs. Mind you, they haven't been very successful at using that site to engage the fans, maybe the MySpace venture will be more successful?

Just seems like an attempt to be 'trendy', without really understanding the concept and use.

Re: Roof pictures

So what's the problem why is the job not being finished, its not like they can blame the rain so it must be the yellow ball in the skys fault, or maybe Eric's upset the roofers?

Wynonie Harris 08-08-2007 19:16

Re: Roof pictures

As there are now only six days to go to the Leicester match, it's looking more and more like the roof won't be ready. So, presumably, the Clayton End will be closed, as it was for the City match. However, unlike that game, the Coppice End will be filled with away fans, so will we all have to squeeze into the Whinney Hill? And, if so, does that mean the match is now ticket only?

Could we have some answers from the club please?

I'll hazzard a guess and say the roof will not be finished, but the Clayton end will be open. There are no dangerous loose bits so it should be safe.
And as we don't have any prats, I think we can be trusted to stand under the half completed roof.
